ABOUT
Bac Kim Thang is a 2019 Vietnamese horror film directed by Tran Huu Tan and written by Tran Huu Tan and Abby Hoang Anh. The film was produced by Nguyen Pham Hoang Quan, with the participation of Trinh Tai, Minh Hy, Duy Phuong, Bich Hang, Huu Tien, Trung Dan, Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu, and Huu Thanh.
The work belongs to the psychological horror genre and is the first movie of the duo of director Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan. The script idea comes from a tradition in Vietnam when the eldest grandchild (son of the eldest son) is pampered more than other grandchildren. The film is aimed at criticizing the view that men despise women and biased behavior in the family. The English title of the movie is Home Sweet Home (meaning "There is no place like home") but the content has the opposite meaning: family is not always the best place to return to.
