‘Mắt xanh thơm chân con, tai đỏ cảo lưng con’ with Nhi Le and Tam Do    Poetry Performance

Nhi Le organized her first-ever solo performance that did not belong to a specific organization and invited me, Tam Do to join her as an experiment. She wanders the possibilities of working together from three different practices: writing, sound art, and performing art. For me, this is a very big challenge as this is not part of my strong practice. However, the kind consideration of my collaborator about the precious value of poetry and the Vietnamese language also makes me curious about this new experiment.
In the end, we draw into the story of raw connection, the wildness of nature, and the freedom of our body in the dimension with other living creatures.    





This performance happened at the same time as my study of ethical topics.

I was wandering about my middle land and Nhi Le middle land at the time. The video is my effort to capture this feeling, including footage from our trip to my hometown Kien Duc, Dak Nong, and the performance at Reading Cabin space with Tam Do. After all, we feel strongly connected with the land, the memory before the performance but not the performance itself. The gap makes me question the ethic of care during the process for my collaborator.
