After earning an International Communications Bachelor in 2016, I have worked in the communications & creative industry for over 7 years in different roles: strategic planner, creative, copywriter, project manager, and studio owner for both national & international.

client: Dentsu, British Council, Pepsico, Perfetti Van Melle, Acecook, Yamaha, Zespri, Rockit Apple, Viettel, Samsung, Nutimilk, and more.

During the pandemic in 2020, I opened an independent cultural communications studio: Amazink Studio. Our small team has experimented with different cultural projects and promoted local brands in Saigon, Vietnam.

In 2024, I finished my Master of Arts with Distinctive from Central Saint Martins, London, UK in Intercultural Practices (MAIPS).

Besides my professional work, I also write poetry, publish book, and do interdisciplinary art projects. You can refer them here.

With diverse experiences in communications, literary, interdisciplinary art practices and intercultural dialogues, I hope to contribute to relevant organizations/communities that holding visions in harmony collaboration, interconnectiveness, equality, coexisting, peace and love. Not just human but also non-human entities.

For me, the process represents itself.

a Vietnamese culture project, language-based 

03-12/2021: researched, planned, and built a digital platform for the long-term project meanwhiles starting to communicate about the first topic: Vietnamese reduplicated words.

01-04/2021: collaborated with artists & various communities in Saigon to inspire and explore the extension meaning of specific Vietnamese reduplicated words.

05/2021: organized an immersive art event ‘Word is 0’ (installation, performing art, zine & library, poems performances, experimental music, etc) to end the journey of exploring reduplicated words.

the first Japanese-Vietnamese Comic Fes

one year worked under Strategic Director at Dentsu to create and develop the first biggest Comic Fes in Vietnam during the pandemic, successfully convinced the client to sponsor this cultural event, and coordinated and expanded the network for Dentsu in terms of Comic & Animation partners.


→ Co-created 419 - Vietnamese Advertising Portal

managed 419 team to develop a new digital platform (e-magazine) for the Vietnamese Advertising industry in Vietnam, and interviewed many creative agencies and experts in town.

caicai.vn is a long-term project (suppose to be) an inspiring source for creativity, art, and Vietnamese culture. We aim to archive, “vừa học vừa hành”, bring individuals and communities closer to let them spark something along the way (who knows).

Our first year simply started with the reduplicated word dictionary. We wonder what if we trace back to see the original meaning of the word, who makes it a meaning, and why the Vietnamese own such a beautiful word form?

Two years ago in the meeting room, I was thinking of some Vietnamese reduplicated words. One that I would never forget “loang loáng”. It just sounds a bit vague, I’m not sure how to explain it to a foreigner but the sound creates some kind of feeling that satisfy me at the time. Interestingly I can’t find the dictionary that Professor Hoang Van Hanh is the author. The hunt began.

We spend the next year planning and replan, connecting with artists and communities to ask about the possibilities of collaboration. No one knows us, we know nothing.

Things gradually happen. We make different moves and meet different creatures. The language tells its own story and we’re still hungry for a new chapter.

It’s fascinating to witness a mixed yet exciting cultural scene embedded within a hybrid post-modern setup in Vietnam where everything is constantly moving. Like many young creatives, I was nurturing a dream of making my own money and doing my own projects, and Amazink was born in a hope of a sustainable studio for a sustainable growing industry at that time.

We were walking together in the hardest time yet believe in our way to inspire cultural producers, creative agents, and local communities. Thanks to the changes I have realized the challenge of walking beyond boundaries which leads to a tremendous “lag” in my belief system. The ideal situation that the team thrives on becomes a risky barrier for all of us in terms of ethical considerations.

I have stopped managing the studio and postponed my little dream to unlearnt for a while.

In 2019, anh Phan Hải - my old boss was discussing with me the idea of developing a new platform for the advertising industry.  We wonder how the contemporary scene could be archived, and how to bring the industry’s news to an all-in-one place. 

We were visiting different agencies and experts in town to interview and tell their stories via various content formats on digital. We aim for something bigger, something beyond us. The journey has been emerging from inspiring stories and portraits where we gradually build trust in the communities.

Unfortunately, we have separated due to the differences in business visions but the project has been developed since then by different team members.

Comic Fes 2020 is the largest event in the country which celebrates Vietnamese and Japanese comics. The event happened at Nguyen Du Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. With a scale of 10,000 participants in 2 days, Comic Fes 2020 is the gathering of many famous names in the comics industry such as Comicola, and Kim Dong Publishing with other media/advertising agencies such as POPs Worldwide, Dentsu Vietnam, and series of related major cultural projects.

In 2020, Ito-san who used to be Dentsu Vietnam’s CEO had a small talk with me. He wanted to give me an opportunity of making his dream become true - bring some kind of anime event to Vietnam on an international scale. The foundation that we got at that time is SOZO - a long-term partner of Dentsu to promote this exciting subculture.

I had no idea about comics except for Doraemon but I knew that I quite like it. After taking a random phone call to talk with Duong-san, founder of the Comicola team, I could see a huge potential in the Vietnamese comic scene. The concept of integrating both Vietnam and Japan into this festival has been started from here.

The most important part is to convince the title sponsor - Acecook Vietnam about the possibility of this totally new brand event. It was over one year of planning and re-planning, presenting, and re-present around the pandemic time.

Finally, we are lucky enough.
Our dreams become true, or put in another way
I have become an anime fan since then.
